For one of our international clients, a global leader in the building materials industry, we are currently looking for an Advanced Process Control Engineer (AI & Automation) to join a newly established hub in Wrocław.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global team driving digital transformation, industrial automation, and AI-powered process optimization across manufacturing operations worldwide. In this role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of advanced process control and expert system solutions that improve operational efficiency, process stability, energy performance, and plant automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance advanced process control and expert system solutions for industrial manufacturing processes.
- Optimize kiln and grinding operations through AI-driven control strategies, advanced process control, and machine learning applications.
- Implement and support MPC, fuzzy logic, PID controllers, soft sensors, and process models to improve operational performance.
- Deploy and support automation and process optimization solutions across global manufacturing sites.
- Integrate process control solutions with DCS, PLC, OPC, and industrial data platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide remote support to ensure high system availability and reliability.
- Conduct process analyses, performance assessments, and audits to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with plant teams, automation specialists, digital teams, and external partners to deliver innovative industrial solutions.
- Develop technical documentation, provide user training, and support the successful adoption of advanced process control technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Advanced Process Control, automation engineering, industrial control systems, or process optimization.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, process control principles, and advanced control applications.
- Experience with DCS, PLC, OPC, industrial communication protocols, and process data systems.
- Hands-on experience with advanced process control solutions, process optimization, or expert systems.
- Knowledge of Python, machine learning, AI technologies, or predictive analytics would be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25% of working time).
