As a Senior Test Manager, you will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the highest quality standards for software delivery. You will be responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive testing strategy, coordinating all testing phases, monitoring progress, reporting status to senior project management, and enabling effective collaboration across all stakeholders.
This position requires a highly experienced Test Manager who has successfully delivered similar large-scale and complex transformation projects. We work in an Agile/SAFe environment, with globally distributed teams located in Switzerland, Poland, and India.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Strategy Definition
- Develop and document a comprehensive testing strategy for the migration of mainframe assembler applications to a target environment based on Java/SQL running on Linux.- Define and integrate multiple testing methodologies, including unit, functional, and comparison testing.
- Select and implement appropriate testing tools (e.g., X-Ray).
2. Test Execution Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all testing activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality standards.- Support all testing phases, including: test planning, environment preparation, test execution, results reporting.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and project management teams.- Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on testing objectives, scope, and deliverables.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small testing team, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.- Evaluate resource requirements and support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities as the project expands.
5. Quality Assurance Governance
- Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and key quality metrics to stakeholders.- Identify and implement process improvements to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Produce and maintain comprehensive testing documentation, including: test plans, test cases, test reports.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience as a Test Manager in complex, large-scale projects.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in software testing methodologies, particularly unit and functional testing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Practical experience working within Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe environments.
