Python GIS Developer (ArcPy)

Your new role 

As a Python GIS Developer (ArcPy), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions within GIS environments using Python. You will work extensively with ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, and the broader ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and maintaining Python scripts and applications that automate GIS workflows.
• Building and integrating solutions based on ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
• Managing and optimizing Esri geodatabase architectures.
• Performing advanced spatial analyses, including raster and vector data processing.
• Working with coordinate systems, topology validation, and spatial data quality.
• Using Git and following software engineering best practices in daily development activities.
• Leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Collaborating with international teams to continuously enhance GIS solutions.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Python software development.
• Hands-on experience with ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience working with Esri geodatabases and geospatial data architectures.
• Solid understanding of GIS concepts, including:
   o Coordinate systems and projections
   o Spatial joins
   o Raster and vector analysis
   o Data topology and validation
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools supporting software development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• English language proficiency allowing effective collaboration with global stakeholders.
